How Do We Educate?

We at Ujala Association for Rehabilitation of Blind, believe in the transformative power of education and the limitless potential of blind students. Our comprehensive education program caters to blind students ranging from Class 1 to graduation, providing them with a nurturing environment that promotes their holistic development.
At Ujala, we understand that blind students require specialized learning programs to excel academically. Our dedicated team of educators, trained in teaching methodologies tailored for the visually impaired, employ innovative techniques to make learning accessible and engaging. Through braille instruction, audio materials, and assistive technologies, we ensure that every student has equal opportunities to learn and succeed.

We strongly believe in the importance of physical fitness and sports, as they enhance overall well-being and instill valuable life skills. Through adapted sports activities, blind students gain physical coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, building confidence and resilience.

Braille

The students who cannot see the world, do have a lot to express about how they perceive things and write their feelings down through a special writing method called Braille which is specially designed for visually impaired people. At Ujala, students as young as 6 years old learn the Braille language.

Computer Class

In this modern era of information technology, we understand that the competition is very intense and every child should get the equal opportunity to excel in their career regardless of their medical condition. Ujala emphasizes on computer knowledge and knows how these computer classes help the students in the longer run.

Nazra Class

Apart from curricular studies and other personality-building training, we encourage our students to get in touch with their spiritual side by establishing their connection with the ALMIGHTY ALLAH and learn from the life of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW.
At Ujala, we make sure that every student is given proper time and attention to learn and understand The Holy Quran.

Music Class

Music opens up your mind, allows you to perform better in life, and gives you confidence by exploring the artistic side of your personality. We make sure that every student takes part in the Music Class and express their emotions through music.

Curriculum

Our belief is that every student should be provided with the same knowledge whether the student is blind or not. At Ujala Association for Rehabilitation of the Blind, we follow the curriculum of  Punjab Text Book Board.
